Event Details

Our annual self-navigating running/walking challenge is on again. It's a physical event this year, unless you've already entered the 'Hit The Trail' event which is happening on the same day, in which case we can offer you a Virtual entry so that you don't miss out!

We've chosen the Halls, booked the venue so now all we need to do is sign you up.

This year we've chosen:

Hulme Hall, 60 Hulme Hall Road, Cheadle Hulme, SK8 6JZ
Grid Ref: 53.37174937262331, -2.192714941660155

Heathfield (Heath House), 48 Bramhall Lane, SK2 6HZ

Grid Ref: 53.39838, -2.15528 ; What3Words: ///reason.take.unions

Moseley Old Hall, 50 Cuthbert Road, Cheadle, SK8 2DT
Grid Ref: 53.39700, -2.20563
; What3Words: ///pass.region.zealous

How does it work?
Navigate to each of the 3 halls in no particular order but you must start and finish at Stockport Georgians. We can suggest a possible route upon request but you can work out any route between each point using your own map.

There will be a few basic rules e.g. only using public rights of way, which will be listed in the Information pack we send out prior to the event. The Checkpoints will all be close to the Halls, their specific locations will be given to you when you pick up your Checkpoint Card on the morning of the event.

Where possible, you should record your run/walk on an app e.g. Strava, Map my Run, etc. or take a photo showing your finish time on whatever device you've used to record yourself with. This will need to be uploaded to us with your time when you've finished.
The checkpoints will be marshalled with water and sweets to keep you going.

There will be a prize for the fastest Male and Female finishers and a few spot prizes.

Event Rules
Please check and follow the current Government Covid-19 guidelines whilst taking part in the event:

- Apply any current social distancing rules and stay clear/give priority to pedestrians and people using public spaces.
- If not using the designated route consider using an online route plotter to work out your route. We favour Plot-a-Route: https://www.plotaroute.com/routeplanner. It's very simple to use (other planners are available)
- Carefully select your route and consider elevations, distances, and access restrictions. You must only use Public Rights of Way.
- Consider the weather on the day of your run and dress accordingly
- If you are feeling unwell, have COVID or any COVID symptons please do not take part on the day.
- If you have any medical conditions that could be affected by taking part in the challenge please seek medical advice before starting this challenge.
